I study complex nonlinear phenomena in fluid mechanics with the main focus on ocean waves’ dynamics, heat and mass transfer processes, multiphase strongly turbulent flows, and reciprocating hydraulic machines. My aim is to bring together analytical, numerical, and experimental efforts to shed light on complicated and yet not understood nonlinear phenomena in fluid mechanics.
Research interests:
- Dynamics of the surface gravity water waves.
Employing mathematical simplifications (flow potentiality, order analysis, etc.) to gain a deeper understanding of physics. - Nonlinear interaction of water waves with submerged solids.
Analytical and numerical studies of water waves’ impact on engineering structures. - Multiphase phenomena in fluid mechanics.
High-performance parallel computing of heat and mass transfer processes in the turbulent multiphase flows, employing in-house and open-source codes written in C++ / Python / Matlab, etc. - Working processes in the reciprocating hydraulic machines.
Theoretical, numerical, and experimental studies of the reciprocating machines to enhance their energetic performance and efficiency. - I’m always open to new challenges.
